Welcome to the NDA

The National Dealers Association.

In Cooperation with, SportSales, Inc.

In June 2004, The National Dealers Association will launch the most innovated land based trade show in the history of the sporting goods industry. (Sporting Goods Industry includes full line and team sporting goods stores, screen printers, embroidery shops, and trophy and awards shows.) This  show is the first of up to 5 land based shows NDA will put on during 2004-2005. Other locations include Kansas City, Mo area, the east coast.
As you should know, NDA is a dealer/retailer based organization.

Within NDA, there is a series of "Buying Groups". Most NDA dealer/retailer members qualify to join at least at level one. This level assures great benefits in buying many products and services. These benefits include discounted prices, better qualifying quantity rates, vendor rating information, and much more.

.

An NDA Land Based Show is actually three different functions:

1. A super dealer/retailers show, covering all facets of the sporting goods industry, including: full line and team sporting goods stores, screen printers, sign shops,  embroidery shops, and trophy and awards shops, plus corresponding industry vendors to interface and show off products and services to said dealers and retailers. These shows will be for new and existing vendors and dealer/retailers.

2. A super educational conference and series of seminars to include:

  • An e-commerce/internet seminar- how to sell online for dealers/retailers, vendor partners, online pricing strategy, using secure server (shopping carts), using the NDA created "Universal Generic Secure Server shopping Cart", a break through concept that is affordable for all dealers, and will work for internet transactions of all kinds whether the products are on the web or not,
  •  A work session on Quick Books Pro- Group discussions, how to use Quick Books for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and very importantly, special buy easy techniques that allows you to use Quick Books as a complete Point of Purchase accounting program. (Another NDA innovative concept.
  •  How to make your own catalog in PDF for use on a CD, printed paper, or the web, using Corel Draw 9/10. In only one hour, learn to use the functions of Corel, with its built in automatic PDF generator, then using MS Internet Explorer, and using vendor web sites to make your full color catalog, with many products and pages, and put it on a cd, all in as little as one hour, be you novice or experienced in graphics. All without scanning in images.
  • General Business 101 conference and seminar covering basics on how to get into the different niche parts of the sporting goods business. Great for newbies to the industry and great for existing dealer/retailers looking to converge into another industry niche to achieve additional profit.
  • A Corel Draw work shop.
  • A sublimation imprinting workshop
  • An embroidery workshop
  • A laser engraving workshop and seminar
  • A computer engraving workshop
  • A buying group seminar and group discussion- NDA wants input on where and how we should open new doors with new vendors. We also want to know what vendors member dealers may be having problems with.

3. The NDA Land Based shows will also host a "coaches show within the show". This is another cutting edge creation from NDA. Usually on the last day of the show, in a special conference room, hundreds of area coaches, athletic directors, purchasing agents, parks and recreation directors, and related individuals will be invited to this exclusive conference. Local area dealers/ will also be invited to attend. Local coaches, officials, and other relevant groups will even be offered free space to hold official association meetings if they choose to attend this conference.

 How it will work:

  • Select vendors will be chosen to be event sponsors. They will be allowed to present their presentation in seminar format to the coaches etc. attending. Several other seminars will also be given on topics from equipment benefits, new products, medical/injury technology, sports technology, and more. Arrangement will be made to accommodate vendors with celebrity athletes etc. for autograph signing sessions, etc.
  • Local area dealers and retailers will be allowed to purchase and show at special table top booths in the conference room. This will give local NDA dealers direct access to the local dealers and the insight on where to buy the newest products.
  • All attendees must have a ticket to get into the conference. They will be able to buy or receive "comp" tickets from their local area dealers that are participating. All dealers that participate in the table top show will receive a limited amount of free tickets to distribute as they wish.
  • NO wholesale pricing information will be allowed at this conference.
  • Booth preference will be given to NDA members as will sponsorship opportunities.
  • After the seminars, the coaches will be allowed to "shop" their favorite local area dealer and Q&A with the sponsors and seminar speakers.

NDA wants its local area dealers to benefit from its land based shows. Dealer suggestions and comments are welcome. Email NDA@NationalDealers.net .
